Welcome to The Yew Tree

The Yew Tree, nestled at 36 The St, Manuden, Bishop's Stortford, CM23 1DJ, is a charming hotel brand that offers a unique blend of historical charm and modern comfort. With a solid rating of 4 stars, it boasts an inviting atmosphere that makes it an excellent choice for both short stays and leisurely getaways.

Guests like Sol Sinclair have praised the friendly and attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The rooms are a testament to comfort, featuring large, cozy beds and stunning marble-style bathrooms complete with rolltop freestanding baths. However, attention to small details, such as flickering lights and the absence of hand soap, is an area for improvement.

Michelle Flood notes the warm hospitality and welcoming nature of the hosts. Despite a slightly dated aesthetic, with a mix-and-match of furniture, the rooms remain functional and inviting. The addition of luxurious amenities like big double-ended baths, plush robes, and slippers adds an extra touch of comfort, ensuring guests feel pampered during their stay.

Meanwhile, Pim Brassien highlights The Yew Tree's tranquil setting, making it an ideal pit-stop for travelers. The nearby pub, known for its BBQ offerings and refreshing drinks, enhances the experience, providing a perfect way to unwind before a flight just 15 minutes away.

For outdoor enthusiasts and culture seekers, The Yew Tree is conveniently located near notable attractions such as Audley End House and Gardens and IWM Duxford, enabling guests to delve into the rich history and beauty of the surrounding area.

Lilla Zornánszky shares her appreciation for the immaculate condition of the rooms and the politeness of the staff. With a dog-friendly policy (for a small fee), The Yew Tree accommodates pet owners, making it a fantastic choice for those looking to travel with their furry companions.

While there are some areas for potential refinement, The Yew Tree offers a delightful experience infused with history, comfort, and warm hospitality. Guests looking to escape into a serene atmosphere with a touch of luxury should certainly consider making The Yew Tree their next destination.

Lovely place. Stayed overnight. Staff were friendly and attentive. Tried refilling my beer often . The room was great; a big comfy bed, nice and clean. Roll-top freestanding bath in a marble style bathroom was a great touch and made the place feel luxurious. Small details could have been a little better; lights in the room need switching to dimmer bulbs as they flicker, some hand soap would have been nice too (there was free shampoo and shower gel tubes though). Complimentary coffee is the obligatory awful nescafe. Overall had a great night, lovely location, great staff, great room, great food too.

Host was great and very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are like an American motel outside the historic pub which are lovely but a miss mash of furniture/dated but functional. The room paint has been done in a rush and not done well but overall we had a very pleasant stay with a big double ended bath Two robes and slippers provided. The nice weather brought a lot of noise from the pub terrace but they shut it at 10 so is great for the staying guests. Beautiful surroundings and walks. Would stay again.

Perfect local tiny hotel in the middle of nowhere. Nice pub for some drinks and food from the bbq. Perfect to stay before a flight next morning (15 min drive to airport!)

The rooms were perfect and immaculate. Staff were polite and helpful. The food was delicious and dessert was presented like a piece of artwork. I Recommend staying here. Also it was dog friendly with a small fee,but still brilliant.
